3 Ways to Tap into Your Intuitive Intelligence

3 Ways to Tap into Your Intuitive Intelligence

Lisa Puzo Strickland

Gut instincts, flashing visions, or prophetic dreams can be a bit offsetting. And when these precognitions later prove true, we can be left feeling shocked, scared, but most often, exhilarated.

This is our intuition, or sixth sense, revealing itself to help us navigate life and make good choices.

For most, intuitive wisdom comes when we least expect it - out of the blue. But what many don't realize is that we are all capable of tapping into this ethereal intel any time we need sage advice. We just have to know how to ask for it.

Here are 3 powerful ways to ask for intuitive guidance and receive applicable knowledge in return.

One... Use the (Positive) Force

The Universe acts a lot like a search engine. It identifies with the words we speak and delivers related content. The world of energy works much the same in that 'like attracts like'. (Nature.com, 2012)

By using positive, optimistic words with affirmative clarity, we are better assured of receiving credible guidance.

For example, I request clear, brilliant insight during my meeting tomorrow. Or, I will recognize the love of my life when the timing is perfect!

Avoid negative keywords such as not or don't in your request, or words with negative connotations like accident or problem. You don't want these adverse energies becoming your unintended manifestation. Remember, what the Universe hears, it answers.

So, instead of Please show me how not to be poor anymore, which includes two culprits, not and poor, try the positively-spun I joyfully receive direction to continually increase my wealth to attract your desired outcome.

Two...  Ask with Grateful Expectation

A child who asks for a cookie at 10 o'clock at night knows that the response will most likely be no, and therefore, that child is carrying feeling of doubt.

However, a person requesting coffee from a waiter has a quite different approach. They are confident that their request will be granted and they will soon be handed a cup of hot brew.

When asking for sparks of intuition, be grateful yet expecting. Gracious yet assured. Allowing fear or distrust to creep in will squash any possibility of acquiring legitimate, intuitive data.

Three... Go Big

Posing a question to your intuitive self is like asking for a raise: Always aim high! If you ask for too little, you'll get exactly that, too little.

We formulate our entire life through our attitudes and beliefs. So, a dynamic attitude towards one's self and capabilities, coupled with the steadfast belief that we can achieve great things, massively increases our chances of manifesting those great things.

Buddha once said, "Our life is the creation of our mind." Setting big intentions and high goals adjusts what kind of guidance we ask for, how we ask for it, and what we actually get in return, all while beautifully lifting our entire life in an upward direction.
